This year, COSOMA held its AGM in June at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre. All rights holder associations were invited and for the first time, the representation was more than three individual members from each association.
MUANA attended the AGM holding interests pertaining to royalties as well as the newly introduced blank media levy. The President; Mr. Ron Muphuwa, who was for the first time sitting with the members constituting the board of COSOMA commended the meeting, that it was an awesome Annual General Meeting which projected the course for the arts and creative industry for the new year.
Among the many issues; blank media levy, royalties, grants, school for the arts, copyright bill and national cultural policy were discussed at length.
